Many women are sold weapons that are the wrong size and or shape for their hands and some even find themselves purchasing a firearm they are barley able to to operate safely due to strength limitations or excessive recoil. This webinar covers non lethal and lethal defense options and is aimed to give women information from a independent source before they make their first non lethal (pepper spray/stun gun) or firearm purchase and covers not only equipment considerations but the pros and cons or each defensive method.

Under CA law in order to purchase or take possession of a firearm one must possess a valid Firearm Safety Certificate unless exempted.

The fee is set by law and entitles exam takers to take the test a maximum of two times.

A private consultation that allows students the opportunity to handle multiple types of firearms and take the California Firearm Safety Certificate Exam. At the conclusion of the session the student will be able to perform all actions required by state law prior to acceptance of purchase firearm from their licensed dealer. Students will be given a pdf copy off their CA FSC after successfully passing the exam.

Course topics include: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety.

• Targets Included

This module is designed to be conducted following Basics Pistol. Course focuses on technique and the development of a defensive mindset. The goal of the course is to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude to use a pistol ethically, responsibly, and with confidence. Includes Dry and Live fire drills to introduce students to shooting from an openly displayed holster, tactical reloads, immediate remedial actions, controlled pairs, and situational awareness. Live fire drills executed at slow pace to build coordination and muscle memory.

Builds upon lessons learned in Defensive Pistol A and increases Dry and Live Fire drill speed. Students will be introduced to concealment type holster and will practice presenting from openly displayed concealment type holsters.

Builds upon lessons learned in Defensive Pistol B. Introduces students to drawing from concealment.

Practice session consisting of organized drills allowing students to practice defensive skills that are not allowed on public ranges
